Who We Are

Invest in Hackney is Hackney’s inward investment agency. This free service has been around for 11 years and has significantly contributed to the viability of Hackney as a business destination. A significant amount of our work has been aimed at supporting ‘start up’s and SME’s as Hackney is predominantly a micro-economy.

In the last 11 years, we have worked with over 2000 entrepreneurs.

However, in recent years we have seen increased interest from larger companies as Hackney’s reputation has improved. While we encourage and support investment from these larger organisations, we are still keen to protect entrepreneurialism in Hackney and work hard to support our natural business base.

We also have dedicated account managers who encourage investment into designated growth areas within the borough including sites around the Olympic Park in Hackney Wick and the major centres of Dalston and Hackney Central.
