Dalston and Kingsland

The demand for retail space in Dalston and Kingsland has increased significantly in recent years as the area has become one of Hackney

The Kingsland Shopping Centre and Sainsbury's supermarket act as the focal point for the local community, with the bustling Ridley Road Market and wide range of furniture stores, clothes shops and restaurants all reflecting the cultural diversity of the borough.

The area is also home to an improving range of office premises and with several significant development sites in the pipeline, the area is certain to become one of Hackney's strongest business locations.

Transport links are set to improve considerably with the East London Line Extension which will give the area its very own tube station, linking Dalston to Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington in the north, and Bishopsgate and Whitechapel in the south.

The town centre is also being extensively redeveloped, with the promise of thousands of square metres of retail, office and residential space being created. It will also see the creation of Gillett Square, one of Richard Rogers much lauded city squares.
