Hackney Wick

The Wick is an established industrial area and has an extremely strong economic base. It is made up of a plethora of small industrial operators and some large development sites.

Hackney Wick features in the London 2012 Olympic plan, with nearly one quarter of the land in this area being used to host the western flank of the Olympic park, the basketball stadium and food precinct.

Now that London has the Olympics the future of Hackney's second largest employment generating zone is secure. Over the next seven years htis area looks set to become one of London's most exciting development areas.

Hackney Wick is adjacent to both the site of the Stratford International Passenger Station on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and the M11 Link Road. It is also served by four major bus routes and Hackney Wick railway station.
