HEN will help you to expand your client base through their networking events and can also help you and your business get ready to supply and win more contracts.HEN is run by HBV, the local enterprise agency, who offer support and training to local entrepreneurs. Business Link is the primary supplier of government funded business support, and offers a 24hr on-line service, alongside their phone and face-to-face support.
The help provided by the Princes Trust is aimed specifically at unemployed potential entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 30 and offers support for business start-ups. HCD is a locally based community economic development organisation and offers advice, training and support.
In 2009 Hackney was the “Bright Ideas Borough” - the Bright Ideas Trust was set up by the first Apprentice, Tim Campbell to help disadvantaged young people
The tax man isn’t all bad - everyone has to pay taxes, and HMRC want to help businesses make sure they don’t pay too much. They offer an online service, and regular workshops on different aspects of business taxation.
